Four checks that cut through the marketing. First, does it say curcumin extract standardized to curcuminoids (good) or just turmeric powder (mostly filler for this purpose)? Second, is there an absorption strategy on the panel — piperine/BioPerine, a phospholipid/phytosome complex, or a micellar/nano system? A curcumin product with no absorption story is ignoring the one thing that matters most. Third, what's the actual curcuminoid amount, not the herb weight? Fourth, be wary of giant "milligrams of turmeric" numbers used to look potent — without standardization and an absorption strategy, a big number is just a big number.
